Thanks guys. No style points for the landing, but it was safe. Next time I'll swoop a little if the air is calm.

Hey Alex I am just curious. Why did you pick "Copper" as an LZ? By your video you certainly had "Frisco" "Silverthorn." "Copper" is in a hole maybe that contributed to your less than stellar landing. I even saw "Green Mountain" Resevoir on one of your passes. Just askin?

Thanks for sharing. I don't see what was wrong with that landing?

MR I picked Copper to shorten the retrieve. If I didn't have to be home for the dog I would have blazed downwind straight to Winter Park and made an attempt for Golden. Of course discovering my keys in my harness made that moot. Sorry Dean...

I'm just poo pooing about my landing. It would have been super cool to swoop the golf course at 60mph in ground effect and drag a foot in the pond. I made the right call being conservative. I was cold and slightly hypoxic, but was scared more of the 3 way valley confluence hence my steep approach and early transition upright. The air there was surprisingly boyant and smooth. I was expecting ratty air all the way down.

Alex

Nice video. sorry about your dog.

Just think how much further you could of gone with out the weight of the truck keys in your pocket.
