IMPORTANT WILLIAMS TFR Sunday 4 Oct

Postby Steve Ford » Sun Oct 04, 2015 7:51 am

This is important! There is a TFR in place for 15 miles including all of Williams! Fire fighting aircraft are in operation!

Recommend not going to Williams today because these aircraft may be flying below or near launch height enroute to the fire!

FAR part 103 requires that we not violate TFR or impede other aircraft.

BTW: as part of your WX evaluation, you should also look at TFR to see if there are any impacting your chosen flying site. MW reminded me of this this morning. As election season gets into full swing, we will see TFR impact on Lookout often and other sites anytime the candidates are flying in the state.
I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things . . .
